D&D related

Myth Weavers - a superb site, with forums for discussing DnD, creating new rules and playing Play-by-Post DnD games, a character sheet editor thingy for more or less every tabletop RPG system under the sun, integrated dice-rollers, DM tools, and even more!

d20srd - an unofficial site, hosting (legally, I might add!) the entire DnD srd on a functional, pretty and user-friendly site. Here you can find all the rules from the Player's Handbook, the Monster Manual, the Dungeon Master's Guide, the Expanded Psionics Hanbook, the Epic Level Handbook, and Unearthed Arcana! And possibly some bits and pieces from other sources too. Top it off with a dice roller, an encounter calculator, forums and some lovely and useful articles, and you have one hell of a good site.

Dicefreaks - a forum-based community for the discussion of all things DnD. They're also big on creating new rules and things, and have created (or are creating) several compilations of new fluff and the accompanying mechanics (see these under Publications). Especially worth checking out is The Godspell campaign setting, created by The Serge. It really is very good.

The Order of the Stick - Any DnD player with internet access should be extremely ashamed of themselves if they've never heard of this amazing webcomic before, created by Rich Burlew. Now approaching 600 online strips, it is well worth reading through the whole lot, you won't regret it. Check out the store too, you can also buy compilation books of the comics, with bonus strips of course, and other books set with the same characters but before the online story - the only way you'll ever see these strips is to buy the books, they'll never be published online! And as if that wasn't enough, the site also has great articles for DMs and players alike, containing everything from roleplaying tips to new rules.

Canonfire! - a site dedicated to Greyhawk, Greyhawk, and some more Greyhawk. I haven't had a chance to look at it closely yet, but from what I've seen (and heard) it seems a very good site. Be sure to check out the associated Greyhawk Wiki.

Farland - an enormous and incredibly detailed campaign setting, Farland is definitely worth a visit. To quote from the frontpage: "Farland has a detailed history spanning many millennia, providing a rich, realistic backdrop that many campaign settings lack. Every clue and detail that players discover will lead them to further, nearly limitless aspects of the world, providing an immersive gaming experience." And you know what? I'd say that's pretty accurate. Don't forget to check out the new game mechanics while you're there.

Lessons from DMing with my GF - one of the best threads I've seen on the Wizards board, this thread has an absolute treasure trove of advice for DMs, both rookie and experienced. Well worth a read, especially with the handy table of contents to help you. Even better, the thread is not dead yet, but still growing and expanding. Maybe you could help it grow further?

Non-D&D related

The Pyramid Vault - a lovely forum for Warhammer players, specifically those who collect/play with/are interested in the Lizardmen.

World of Arl - a superb forum-based fantasy strategy team game. The rules are really simple, the community is super friendly and the game is amazingly good fun. Definitely worth signing up on the forum and getting started.

The William Tell Overture for Moms - a spectacular and hilarious video from Anita Renfroe, definitely worth 3 minutes of your life.

Lexicanum - a very handy and interesting wiki for the Warhammer 40,000 universe. I have wasted far too much of my life following link after link of that site, soaking up glorious information.

9 Crimes - this is a World of Warcraft machinima, but don't let those dreaded three words put you off if you're a WoW-hater - this music video is still worth a watch. Beautifully made, artfully created, and deeply moving. You simply have to watch it. What makes it even more impressive is that this was the creator's first proper machinima video! Talk about incredible.

The Chronicles of Michelle (and others) - a hilarious series of chronicles revolving around White Wolf's Vampire and Werewolf games. Hit the "Chronicles" link near the top to see them. The Chronicles of Michelle, Michelle II and Baby-Bat are especially worth a read. I assure you, you won't stop laughing from beginning to end.

3D Pavement Drawings - Want to have your sense of perspective messed with, and say "Wow!" a lot? Then this site is for you!
